Vicobold Print: letterpress, illustration & printmaking

Relief printed illustration of a Vicobold parallel-approach platen printing press. From an original outlined pencil drawing of the press, the illustration was refined and transferred to a metal printing plate which was then printed on to paper using the Vicobold itself. The typesetting for the back of the print was hand-set in metal letterpress type, Octavian 14pt & Bembo 30pt, and then printed on the reverse.
